Case study · Market Harborough
New fencing and a low-maintenance makeover
A rotten boundary fence replaced with closeboard panels, plus a slate and sleeper makeover on a neighbouring plot.

The old fence was held up more by hope than by its posts. We took it down, removed the stumps and set new concrete posts with gravel boards before hanging closeboard panels the full length of the garden.
On a nearby job the brief was "as little upkeep as possible". We painted the fence a deep charcoal, laid membrane and grey slate, set sleeper edging and framed the existing porcelain patio so it reads as one clean space.
