About us
Shaping the world around you.
A small, owner-run gardening and maintenance business from Stamford, doing careful work across the East Midlands.
Our story
Started with one van and a very overgrown garden.
The Living Meadows began with the kind of job that still makes up most of our work: a garden that had got completely away from its owner, and a promise to sort it in a day. We did, they told their neighbours, and the diary has been full since.
We are deliberately small. The person who comes out to quote is the person who does the work and the person you message if something needs changing. No sales team, no subcontractors, no surprises.
We are based in Stamford and cover Oakham, Corby and Market Harborough — a patch we can get around properly, so regular customers see the same face every visit.
How we work
Six things you can count on.
Honest advice
If a hedge cannot be cut that hard, or a job needs a tree surgeon, we will tell you rather than take the money.
Reliable
We agree a date, message the day before and turn up. It sounds basic. In this trade it is not.
Right timing
Hedges, pruning and lawn care are done when the plants want them, not just when it is convenient.
Properly equipped
A van, professional kit and the means to take every scrap of waste away with us.
Fully insured
Public liability cover for every domestic and commercial job.
Respect for the garden
We work around nesting birds, established trees and the plants worth saving.
On the tools
A few days on the job.
Snapshots from recent work — fencing, clearances and the tidy-ups in between.
